Ghana's inflation dropped to 3.3% in February 2026, the lowest since 2021, driven by stable exchange rates and falling food prices.
Ghana’s inflation rate fell to 3.3% in February 2026, the lowest since the 2021 CPI rebasing and the 14th straight monthly decline, down from 3.8% in January and 23.1% a year earlier, according to the Ghana Statistical Service.
Year-on-year food inflation eased to 2.4% from 3.9%, while non-food inflation rose slightly to 4.0%.
Imported goods saw inflation drop to 0.6% from 2.0%, reflecting improved exchange rate stability, while locally produced goods rose 4.5%.
The Bank of Ghana projects inflation will remain near the lower end of its 8% ± 2% target in 2026, supported by prudent monetary policy and fiscal consolidation.
