Funded by the Commonwealth of Nations through CWEIC and built by British firm Promethean, the classroom operates without internet or traditional electricity, enabling use in remote areas. Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute hailed it as a milestone in the country’s digital education strategy, emphasizing its role in reducing the digital divide and preparing students for a tech-driven future. Plans are underway to expand the model to the North-West and East regions, with future units expected to use local materials and labor.
