Thailand asks oil firms to halt exports and delay maintenance to secure fuel supply amid Middle East tensions.
Thailand’s Ministry of Energy has requested domestic oil producers, including Valeura Energy, to delay planned maintenance and halt crude exports to bolster domestic supply amid Middle East disruptions.
The country, importing 92% of its oil mostly from the Middle East, has previously taken similar steps during geopolitical tensions.
Valeura, which sells about one-third of its output locally, says it’s complying while maintaining operations and safety standards.
The move aims to ensure energy stability without disrupting ongoing production.
