A Romanian appeals court on February 26 rejected American rapper Wiz Khalifa’s appeal against a nine-month prison sentence for possessing and smoking cannabis.
The conviction stems from his July 2024 arrest at the Beach, Please!

The court upheld the original sentence, finding him guilty of illegal possession for personal use under Romania’s strict drug laws, which allow up to two years in prison.
The court also denied his request to delay serving the sentence.
It remains unclear whether Romanian authorities will pursue extradition, as Khalifa is a U.S. citizen who does not reside in Romania.
