flag Prom Dress Night on April 13 offers free or low-cost dresses to students, organized by My Sister’s Closet in Sudbury.

The Sudbury Women’s Centre will host Prom Dress Night on April 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 174 Douglas St., providing hundreds of donated dresses to graduating students at a low cost or free of charge. Organized by My Sister’s Closet, the event helps teens access prom attire amid rising living costs, with a limit of two dresses per person to ensure fairness. Dresses range from small to 3x, include various styles, and are available to all, not just centre clients. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing for easy try-ons due to limited changing space. The centre has seen over 300 new clients since April 1, 2025, reflecting increased community need. Unsold dresses will be saved for future events, and donations are welcome.
