McDonald’s will open 25 new restaurants in Ireland over the next five years, investing €150 million and creating about 1,750 jobs, as part of its 50th anniversary plans in 2027.
The expansion began with a new location in New Ross and includes a €3 million upgrade to the Cork Douglas restaurant.
The company, operating 96 locations through 18 Irish franchisees, spends over €240 million annually on Irish suppliers and contributes more than €414 million to the economy.
Officials praised the investment for boosting local employment, supporting agriculture, and strengthening regional development.
