Apple has launched the MacBook Air with the M5 chip, starting at $1,099 for the 13-inch model and $1,299 for the 15-inch, featuring up to four times faster AI performance than the M4 and double the base storage at 512GB, expandable to 4TB with faster SSD speeds. The M5 chip includes a 10-core CPU, up to 10-core GPU, and a Neural Accelerator in every core, with 28% higher memory bandwidth. It supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and up to 18 hours of battery life. Available in sky blue, midnight, starlight, and silver, pre-orders begin March 4, with global availability starting March 11.
