Aehr Test Systems won a major order for advanced chip-testing systems from its top client, boosting production of AI-ready optical components.
Aehr Test Systems secured a follow-on order from its main silicon photonics client for advanced wafer-level test and burn-in systems, including a new ultra-high-power FOX-XP™ system with full 300mm automation and an upgraded existing system. The systems, capable of testing up to nine 300mm wafers simultaneously at 3500 watts per wafer, support high-volume production of silicon photonics chips used in AI data centers, including 800G and 1.6T transceivers and co-packaged optics. The order reflects rising demand for optical interconnects driven by AI infrastructure expansion. Aehr expects to ship the systems in the second half of 2026, highlighting its technology enables earlier, more cost-effective reliability testing compared to traditional methods.
