Students used a real-time data globe to present on climate and weather, enhancing learning at Montgomery County College.

Montgomery County Community College students in public speaking courses used the Science on a Sphere system to deliver presentations on climate change and weather patterns, leveraging real-time data from NOAA and NASA. The immersive, four-foot globe display enhanced visual storytelling and student engagement. Professor Meredith Frank, who previously integrated VR into her teaching, continues to innovate in communication education. The system, funded by a permanent endowment, is available to all faculty and will be used again in fall 2026.
