Six Oklahoma Wesleyan men's basketball players earned KCAC honors, with Tamaje Izuagbe named Player of the Year and leading team to championship game.
Six Oklahoma Wesleyan University men's basketball players earned Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference honors, including sophomore Tamaje Izuagbe as Player of the Year and Jaden Wilson as Defensive Player of the Year.
Izuagbe scored 36 points in a semifinal win over Southwestern, leading OKWU to a 75-64 victory and a spot in the KCAC championship game against Friends University on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at home.
Freshman Angel Hidalgos was named to the all-freshman team, and Ethan Williams, Yashi McKenzie, and Nick Bene received all-conference recognition.
On the women’s side, Khassidy Warr earned an honorable mention.
