Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma disbursed Rs 1 crore to each of the state’s 11 districts on March 2, 2026, marking the first time direct funding has been provided to support local development projects under the District Catalytic Intervention Plan.
The funds, part of Component 5 of the Decentralised Plan and under the Bana Kaih flagship program, empower Deputy Commissioners to lead project planning and execution.

The disbursement, made via bank cheques, was formalized at a ceremony in Aizawl, with officials emphasizing alignment with the Mizoram District Transformation Programme and integration with other schemes.
