In 2024, women held 35.2% of managerial roles in the EU, up from 31.8% in 2014, according to Eurostat.
Sweden led with 44.4% female managers, while Cyprus had the lowest at 25.3%.
Representation was higher among younger managers, with 39% of those aged 15–39 being women, declining to 26.5% among those 65 and older.
Twenty-four EU nations saw gains in female managerial presence, with Luxembourg, Malta, and Cyprus posting the largest increases.
Slovenia, Latvia, and Lithuania saw declines.
The data was released ahead of International Women’s Day.
