The Danjiang Bridge in Taipei, Taiwan, is set to open to traffic in May 2026, featuring the world’s longest single-tower asymmetric cable-stayed span and designed by late Pritzker Prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid.
Named a 2025 CNN architectural wonder, it will host a pre-opening event series from April 17 to May 9, including sold-out runs, cycling, performances by Cloud Gate Dance Theatre, markets, and community walks.
The bridge connects Bali and Tamsui, offering scenic views of the Tamsui River, Guanyin Mountain, and the city skyline, especially at dusk.
Events, organized by Taiwan’s Highway Bureau, MOTC, and New Taipei City Government, aim to promote tourism and showcase Greater Taipei’s blend of nature, culture, and modern design.
