Since April 2025, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough have offered 14,196 additional urgent NHS dental appointments through a regional initiative funded by the NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care Board.
The program, available across Cambridge, Peterborough, Huntingdonshire, Fenland, and East Cambridgeshire, helps patients with severe pain, bleeding, or damaged dental work access care without needing to be registered with a specific practice.
Individuals can contact any local NHS dental provider or use NHS 111 for guidance, with a standard fee of £27.40—free for under-18s and eligible full-time students under 19.
