Assistant professor Tom Ue honored by elite Sherlock Holmes society for his scholarly work on the detective’s stories.
Assistant professor Tom Ue from Cape Breton University has been inducted into the Baker Street Irregulars, a prestigious international literary society founded in 1934 dedicated to Sherlock Holmes and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
The group, known for its select membership of just 772 inductees in history and 331 living members today, honors scholars and enthusiasts.
Ue’s induction recognizes his scholarly work, particularly his ongoing two-book project to guide readers through all of Holmes’s original works, including four novels and 56 short stories.
The society continues to publish new research and host events celebrating the detective’s legacy.
