Growing up in a region where girls’ football was rare, she began playing by watching her brother and rose through local tournaments and clubs, including East Bengal FC, where she trained alongside senior internationals and learned professionalism under coach Anthony Andrews.
Her performances in domestic and continental competitions prepared her for the international stage, leading to her first national team call-up as part of a 26-player squad, joining eight teammates from East Bengal.
