New York Yankees left-handed pitcher Ryan Yarbrough has been added to Team USA’s 2026 World Baseball Classic roster, replacing Minnesota Twins’ Joe Ryan, who is sidelined by low back tightness. Yarbrough, 34, joined the Yankees in 2025, posting a 3-1 record with a 4.36 ERA, one save, and 55 strikeouts in 64 innings across 19 appearances, including eight starts. He brings a career 56-41 record and 4.22 ERA in 215 games (76 starts) with the Rays, Royals, Dodgers, Blue Jays, and Yankees. Signed to a one-year, $2.5 million contract in November, he is now in the designated pitcher pool, eligible for activation after each round. Team USA opens the tournament Friday night against Brazil in Houston.
