Pam Laffen’s $2M anonymous gift helped the Grand Forks Children’s Museum near its $35M goal, with a new exhibit to honor her.
Pam Laffen of Grand Forks has been revealed as the anonymous donor who gave $2 million in matching funds to the Grand Forks Children’s Museum’s “Unlocking Tomorrow, Together Challenge,” helping the campaign reach nearly $33.25 million toward its $35 million goal.
Her gift, released in $250,000 increments as matching donations were secured, spurred nearly 10 major contributions, including from the Pancratz Family Foundation and other local businesses.
With $1.75 million still needed, the museum’s new two-story vertical climber exhibit will be named in Laffen’s honor, recognizing her lifelong commitment to education and community.
The project is on track for a spring 2026 groundbreaking.
