Notre Dame College School in Welland stages "Little Shop of Horrors" with a student-built 3.5-metre puppet, Audrey II, in its renovated theatre.
Notre Dame College School in Welland is presenting “Little Shop of Horrors” with a 3.5-metre-tall puppet, Audrey II, built by students and a U.S. puppeteer via virtual guidance.
The production, staged in the school’s newly renovated Leon Theatre, features four puppets, live music from an eight-piece orchestra in a temporary structure, and student-designed sets.
The theatre reopened in October 2024 after a $5-million upgrade with advanced stage technology.
The show runs for four evenings with tickets available online or at the door.
