Lewiston’s Isaiah Harris advanced to the 800-meter final at the USATF Indoor Championships in New York by winning his heat in 1:47.32, the third-fastest qualifying time.
The top runner in each of four heats and the two next fastest times qualified for Sunday’s final at 1:47 p.m. Cooper Lutkenhaus, 17, ran the fastest qualifying time at 1:47.00, followed by Sean Dolan at 1:47.17, Brannon Kidder at 1:47.71, and Joe Waskom at 1:47.72.
Harris’s performance secured his spot in the national final.
