In a two-day crackdown on February 27–28, Hyderabad and Cyberabad police arrested 787 people for drunk driving, with 506 in Hyderabad and 281 in Cyberabad.
Among them, 401 were two-wheeler riders, 57 four-wheelers, and 47 three-wheelers.
Blood Alcohol Concentration levels ranged from 35 to over 300 mg/100 ml, with 214 in the 51–100 range and 104 in 35–50.
Over the previous week, 218 cases were processed in court, resulting in jail sentences, fines, and social service.
