Black Country Women’s Aid marks 40 years of supporting abuse survivors with stories and a new volunteer Champions group.
Black Country Women’s Aid is celebrating its 40th anniversary by inviting community members to share stories of survival, support, or involvement with the charity, which has aided thousands affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence, and exploitation since 1986.
The organization is collecting anonymous contributions to highlight its impact and inspire help-seeking behavior.
As part of the anniversary, it will launch a Champions group to train volunteers in advocacy, awareness-raising, and fundraising.
Chief executive Sara Ward emphasized the charity’s ongoing commitment to adapting to evolving challenges and supporting people in regaining safety and well-being.
Those interested can contact the charity via email or phone.
