A 24-year-old man is on the run after being linked to multiple shootings in B.C. and Alberta, facing extortion and weapons charges.

A nationwide manhunt is underway for 24-year-old Jagdeep Singh, wanted in connection with extortion-related shootings in Surrey, B.C., and Parkland County, Alberta. He faces charges of extortion, unlawful discharge of a firearm, and weapons offences, with a firearm seized during a November 2025 arrest in Red Deer linked to seven other shootings across Canada. Two other men, Avtar Singh and Sandeep Singh, remain in custody. The B.C. Extortion Task Force is investigating over 50 cases in Surrey since early 2026, mostly targeting the South Asian community. Singh is also wanted by Canada Border Services Agency on an immigration warrant.
