A 17-year-old from Sunland was arrested in Burbank on suspicion of painting two large swastikas on the wall of Temple Emanu El synagogue on February 16. Authorities said they identified him through surveillance footage and witness accounts, and found evidence at his home linking him to the act. He is also connected to distributing neo-Nazi materials at Los Angeles Mission College. The case has been referred to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Juvenile Division for possible charges, including hate crime and vandalism.
