A 22-year-old Alabama man, Jamarcus Mosley, has pleaded guilty to a three-year sextortion scheme targeting hundreds of teens and young adults across the U.S., using fake identities to hijack Snapchat and Instagram accounts.
From 2022 to 2025, he stole private images and videos, then threatened to release them unless victims paid money or provided more content.
Victims included minors in Georgia, Florida, and Illinois, with one woman’s photos posted publicly after she refused demands.
Mosley also used a victim’s account to contact her younger sister and shared her location.
The case, investigated by Kennesaw Police and the U.S. Secret Service, is set for sentencing on May 27.
