A UK man was sentenced to 16.5 years for leading a group that turned 150 blank guns into functional pistols.
Paul Lynam, a 45-year-old man from Waterlooville, Hampshire, was sentenced to 16½ years in prison on February 27, 2026, after pleading guilty to leading a crime group that converted over 150 blank firearms into live pistols.
The operation, uncovered by the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit, involved two makeshift gun factories in Windsor and Datchet, where authorities seized weapons, ammunition, and firearm components.
Lynam, known as “Mr Nobody,” was extradited from Spain in November 2024 after fleeing the UK.
Five other members, including Damon Denham, Chad Blackwell, and Daniel Boyd, were previously jailed for eight to 13 years.
Two additional suspects, Perry Phillips and Gary Worthington, are set to be sentenced on May 8.
Authorities stressed the serious public safety threat posed by the weapons and the complexity of the international investigation.
