Toronto Fire Services led a complex rescue using shoring, airbags, and a vacuum truck to stabilize the site and extract the man, who remained conscious and alert. He suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a trauma centre. Emergency crews, including police and paramedics, responded at 10:19 a.m. The Ontario Ministry of Labour has launched an investigation, and Lansdowne Avenue remains closed.
