A major toy recall in the UK and Ireland targets Stretcherz Toys due to asbestos risk, urging immediate cessation of use and return for refund.
A widespread recall has been issued for multiple Stretcherz Toys, including Stretcherz Stretch Squad and Slammerz products, sold in major UK and Irish retailers such as Tesco, TK Maxx, Aldi, Smyths, and The Works, due to potential asbestos contamination.
The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) and Ireland’s Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) warn that asbestos exposure, even in small amounts, poses serious health risks, especially for children.
Affected items include various packs and figures with specific model numbers and barcodes, sold between 2024 and early 2026.
Consumers are advised to stop using the toys immediately, seal them in a heavy-duty bag, store them safely away from children, and return them to the retailer for a refund.
Proper disposal guidance is available through local authorities, and additional retailers may be added as more information emerges.
