Jerry Wayne Underwood, 41, was arrested after a high-speed chase in Augusta County, facing new drug and gun charges.
A 41-year-old Roanoke man, Jerry Wayne Underwood, was arrested in Augusta County on Feb. 26 after a high-speed chase that began when a deputy tried to stop him for speeding on I-81.
The pursuit, which included multiple roads and a spin-out in a Food Lion parking lot, ended with Underwood fleeing on foot but being caught by a Sheriff’s Office K9.
He was already wanted on probation violations and now faces new charges including possession with intent to distribute drugs, possession of a firearm by a felon, and ammunition possession.
He was treated at Augusta Health, released, and held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.
No injuries were reported.
