Jason Weiland sentenced to 262 months for meth trafficking after high-speed chase and discovery of 280+ grams in his car.
Jason M. Weiland, 49, of Sherrill, was sentenced to 262 months in federal prison for trafficking methamphetamine, following a high-speed chase in Dubuque in December 2024.
Officers found over 280 grams of pure methamphetamine in his vehicle after he fled during a traffic stop.
He pleaded guilty in June 2025 to possession with intent to distribute at least 500 grams of a meth mixture and 50 grams of pure meth.
The court attributed more than 7 kilograms of pure meth to him, linking him to a drug ring involving repeated trips to Missouri.
Weiland has a prior 2000 federal conviction for drug and firearm offenses.
He was also ordered to five years of supervised release, with no parole under federal law.
