It grants 93% of Indian exports duty-free access to the EU, reduces tariffs on EU luxury goods, and covers 20 chapters, including digital trade and regulatory cooperation.
The deal, expected to be signed in 2027 and implemented in 2028, aims to double bilateral trade to $270 billion by 2032.
Both sides will allow currency convertibility for current account transactions, and the agreement includes a five-year Most Favoured Nation commitment.
