Former Colorado state senator Sonya Jaquez Lewis was sentenced to two years of probation, 150 hours of community service, and a $3,000 fine—waivable if she completes 100 more hours—for forging letters during an ethics investigation.
She was convicted of four felonies, including forgery and attempting to influence a public servant, after fabricating documents allegedly from former aides who denied writing them.
