A Dublin man was arrested after a high-speed chase, during which he was found with drugs worth €60,900 and a knife.
A 25-year-old Dublin man, Dziugas Odinas, was arrested after a high-speed chase across north Dublin and into County Meath on May 29, 2023, following dangerous driving including traveling the wrong way on the M50 and evading police.
The pursuit, involving 12 garda vehicles and a helicopter, ended when a stinger device disabled his car.
Odinas, who had cannabis and a large knife, was later found with 34 bags of MDMA and four bags of ecstasy tablets—some featuring Donald Trump’s face—worth about €60,900.
He admitted to transporting the drugs for €300 and claimed no prior ties to organized crime.
With prior traffic and theft convictions, he pleaded guilty to drug supply, dangerous driving, and endangerment.
Judge Sarah Berkeley adjourned the case to May 11, 2024, and remanded him in custody.
