A Delhi court granted bail to Uday Bhanu Chib after police custody, but it was stayed pending document verification.
On February 28, a Delhi court granted bail to Indian Youth Congress president Uday Bhanu Chib following four days in police custody for a shirtless protest at the India AI Impact Summit.
The duty magistrate denied the Delhi Police's request for a seven-day custody extension, citing insufficient justification and noting that Chib was not physically present at the protest site.
Bail was granted on a Rs 50,000 bond, with the condition of surrendering his passport and electronic devices.
However, the Patiala House Court later stayed the bail order, remanding Chib in judicial custody until documents were verified, with a hearing scheduled for March 6.
Un tribunal de Delhi concedió la fianza a Uday Bhanu Chib después de la custodia policial, pero fue suspendida en espera de la verificación de documentos.
