On February 24, 2026, Albuquerque police arrested Francisco Solis, a convicted felon, after a road rage incident in which he allegedly threatened another driver with a handgun.
Officers identified him via the Real Time Crime Center and later searched his home, seizing five handguns, 1,407 rounds of ammunition, and multiple drugs including methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl, LSD, and ecstasy.
Solis admitted to the altercation but claimed he used pliers, not a gun.
He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and faces additional counts of being a felon in possession of firearms and narcotics.
The investigation is ongoing.
