A 22-year-old New Zealander pleaded guilty to producing child sexual abuse material, threatening violence, and planning a terrorist attack, leading to a five-year prison sentence.
Ronndog Elliot Keefe, 22, of Flaxmere, Hawke’s Bay, has been publicly identified after pleading guilty to 13 charges, including distributing extreme child sexual exploitation material, threatening to kill, and coercing a 13-year-old girl into sending explicit images by impersonating a teen boy.
Authorities labeled him a national security threat due to his planned mass stabbing attack targeting Muslim men, motivated by extremist ideology and radicalized at age 19.
He amassed 93 hours of abuse material across over 54,000 files.
His plans were revealed after a U.S. FBI tip stemming from two years of communication with a young American woman.
Keefe was sentenced to five years and four months in prison and ordered to register as a child sex offender for eight years.
The court described the material as “horrific” and “repugnant.”
