A 19-year-old man from Chippewa Falls, Preston White, faces felony charges after a high-speed chase across multiple Wisconsin counties on February 20. Authorities say he fled a Portage officer after a reckless race on Highway 33, reaching speeds over 100 mph and driving into oncoming traffic. The pursuit spanned Columbia, Juneau, and Dunn counties, involving several law enforcement agencies, including the Wisconsin State Patrol. A Juneau County deputy was injured in a crash after hitting ice. White’s Dodge Challenger was found in Osseo with altered plates and a second man was arrested. He was identified through his Colfax address, taken into custody, and released on a $2,500 cash bond after appearing in court. Charges include fleeing a police officer and recklessly endangering safety, with additional citations pending.
