Stratford’s Tree Power program offers 10 native trees for $30 each to boost sustainability and canopy cover.
Festival Hydro and the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority have relaunched the Tree Power program in Stratford, offering 10 native tree species for $30 each.
The initiative, now in its fifth year, aims to boost environmental sustainability by increasing tree canopy, reducing carbon levels, improving air quality, and lowering energy use through natural shading.
Trees can be ordered online at shop.thamesriver.on.ca, with pickup on April 18.
The program, inspired by a London Hydro model, reflects a partnership between local utilities and conservation groups to support community resilience and ecological health.
