The Scottish Government has approved plans to convert a former Farmfoods store in Bathgate into a 39-bed short-term let hotel, reversing a prior rejection by West Lothian Council.
The council had objected over small room sizes, inadequate staff facilities, and concerns about oversupply of short-term accommodation, but the Division of Planning and Environmental Appeals ruled these issues fall outside planning policy.
