A $600,000 provincial investment completes a $3.2 million restoration of the 128-year-old Yorkton Flour Mill in Saskatchewan, preserving it as a community and interpretive centre.
The mill, operational from 1890 to 1989 and the only remaining brick-constructed flour mill in Western Canada, will feature historical exhibits, educational programs, and events.
Funding came from federal, provincial, municipal sources, the Yorkton Tribal Council, and local donors.
The site will honor agricultural heritage and serve as a year-round hub for gatherings and learning.
