Pakistan's court sets March 11 hearing on appeals to suspend Imran Khan and wife's sentences in £190M gift case.
The Islamabad High Court has scheduled a March 11 hearing on petitions seeking suspension of sentences for former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the £190 million Toshakhana-II case involving a Bulgari jewellery set.
The court cleared procedural objections and allowed the appeals to proceed, citing Khan’s deteriorating health, including an eye condition with 15% vision loss, and the nearly year-long delay in processing the petitions.
The case stems from allegations they unlawfully retained state gifts, with Khan denying wrongdoing and calling the prosecution politically motivated.
The next hearing marks the first in seven months.
