Nigerian lawyers charged over forged passport in UK property scam plead not guilty.
Nigerian authorities have charged Senior Advocate Mike Ozekhome and Ponfa Useni with 12 counts of forgery, conspiracy, and impersonation related to a UK property dispute.
The case involves allegations that they forged a Nigerian passport under the name Tali Shani to claim ownership of a London property linked to the late General Jeremiah Useni.
A UK tribunal previously ruled the claimants were fictitious.
Both men pleaded not guilty and were granted N10 million bail each, with conditions including a property-owning surety and surrender of passports.
The trial is set to begin March 13, 2026.
