A new international flotilla of over 200 vessels is planned to depart on April 12 from ports in Spain, Italy, and Tunisia, aiming to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza amid ongoing blockade restrictions.
Organized by pro-Palestinian groups including Turkey’s İHH Foundation and the Mavi Marmara Freedom and Solidarity Association, the mission involves participants from around 150 countries and will carry medical personnel, educators, engineers, and war crimes investigators.
The effort follows previous attempts, including one intercepted by Israel in October that led to arrests and ship seizures.
Israel has previously labeled such missions as violations of maritime security and futile, while organizers argue unrestricted aid access is critical amid widespread destruction and casualties in Gaza.
