Maruti Suzuki automated 10 driving test tracks in Tamil Nadu to reduce bias and improve road safety, with 56 tracks now operational across India.
Maruti Suzuki has completed automation of 10 driving test tracks across Tamil Nadu, including seven newly commissioned sites in Coimbatore, Tiruvannamalai, Krishnagiri, Madurai, Sivagangai, Dindigul, and Tiruchirappalli, with three more in Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, and Marthandam soon to open.
The tracks, equipped with HD cameras, RFID sensors, and real-time analytics, enable objective, transparent testing for two-wheelers and light motor vehicles, aiming to reduce bias and improve road safety amid India’s 1.77 lakh road deaths in 2024.
The project, completed in 150 days, is part of a broader initiative with the state’s Transport Department, expanding Maruti Suzuki’s automated network to 56 tracks across eight states, with plans for 25 more in Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh, targeting 81 nationwide.
