MACC seeks four children of late Malaysian finance minister over 132 million pound asset probe.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is seeking four children of late former Finance Minister Daim Zainuddin—Asnida, Md Wira Dani, Muhammed Amir, and Muhammed Amin—to assist in an ongoing investigation into the family’s assets.
The probe involves seized bank accounts, 18 companies, and luxury properties including the Ilham Tower in Kuala Lumpur.
Daim died in November 2024 at age 86; his widow, Naimah Abdul Khalid, is on trial for failing to comply with an asset declaration notice.
The MACC has not disclosed the specific allegations but says it is pursuing assets worth 132 million pounds.
The children’s lawyers say they are cooperating through legal representation and criticize the public search as unnecessary.
