The call, reported around 2:15 p.m. to the Portland Press Herald, prompted a swift response, with jail staff identifying Tinker as the source within eight minutes.
Tinker, already held since August 2025 on charges including arson and criminal threatening, remains in custody.
Authorities confirmed the threat was not credible, no explosives were found, and there was no danger to staff or inmates.
The incident is under investigation.
