Mark Brown, former Sazerac CEO and Purbeck leader, will head Scalextric Motorsports, a new holding company, and support Hornby’s strategic transformation.
Scalextric, invented in 1957 and produced in Margate, will continue under Hornby’s management as an agent.
Brown aims to expand the brand into new motorsport areas and promote real-world family engagement amid rising screen time concerns.
