After a student brought a canned lemon drop martini, which contains 11% alcohol by volume, to school in their lunchbox along with some snacks and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, the Georgia police department issued a warning to parents.
In order to emphasize that alcoholic beverages are not appropriate for school lunches, the City of South Fulton Police posted a picture of the lunchbox on social media.
Officials stressed that drinks with high alcohol content should never be packed with children's meals and advised families to carefully inspect lunch contents, particularly during hectic mornings.
They also provided a checklist to help prevent similar incidents.
