CCTV and digital evidence show Stephen McCullagh faked a livestream to lie about his whereabouts during his girlfriend’s December 2022 murder.
CCTV footage and digital evidence were presented in the trial of Stephen McCullagh, 36, accused of murdering his pregnant girlfriend Natalie McNally, 32, in Lurgan on December 18, 2022.
Prosecutors argued McCullagh used a pre-recorded YouTube livestream as a false alibi, claiming he was live-streaming while allegedly traveling to and from the crime scene.
Forensic analysis showed no user activity on his computer during the broadcast, confirming the stream was recorded four days earlier and later aired.
Footage depicted a man matching McCullagh’s appearance taking a bus to Lurgan, changing clothes, and boarding a taxi near the victim’s home.
McCullagh denies the murder charge.
The trial continues at Belfast Crown Court.
