A 29-year-old man pleaded guilty to threatening Australia’s PM and illegal gun possession, with sentencing set for April.
A 29-year-old man from Tamworth, Jaryd Stevens, has pleaded guilty to threatening emails sent to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and unlawful firearm possession.
He admitted to using a carriage service to menace and possessing a prohibited firearm, with police seizing a gel blaster rifle during a November 2025 search.
Stevens, who is undergoing treatment for health and personal issues including alcohol dependency, faces sentencing in April.
The AFP’s National Security Investigation teams, established in September 2025, led the probe, and the Director of Public Prosecutions withdrew three charges in February.
